Hi, my name is Valentino and this is my beautiful wife a Gaby and we've had the wonderful privilege of living on one of the oldest and most beautiful islands of the Bahamas, Harbour Island, for the past 10yrs.

I manage the local library and a bakery and my wife works as a director of a non profit organization that helps kids with learning disabilities.

Many of our friends often ask us the question " how can you live on an island that has no hospitals, no malls and is only 3 miles by 1/2 mile long?"

The purpose of this blog is not only to answer that question about also help others to see how they can enjoy visiting this island on a budget.
